As we were leaving Culloden I saw a small sign for the cairns - so out of interest we went to have a look. They were build 3-4 thousand years ago and there are 3 cairn remains and quite a few standing stones.
Your photos are always stunning. Confession time - I had to check on the meaning of cairns to make sure I had the correct understanding. So thank you for teaching me a new word today.
