Our main task was to try and find a light fitting for the front room. We trailed round the DIY places and a very swish lighting shop where I did find something that took my fancy - but at over £500 I had to leave it where it was!
Slightly more downmarket was Next where I fell in love with this Moroccan style fitting - the colours suit our room perfectly and so different from the shiny metal and twinkly lights that seem to be everywhere at the moment.
Some cursing this morning while Andy was trying to put it up - I'm not good up a ladder so I don't think I was much help!!
We also managed to get Sam kitted out with some new clothes. Long gone are the days when I could put clothes in my trolley in Asda and Tesco and they be worn without comment. He has some definate ideas about clothes and thought he was in 7th heaven in H&M. Luckily some hoodies and T shirts met his exacting standards in Primark - and worryingly he now fits the XS size in mens clothing in New Look!!!
