Harvest

My little reject of a tomato plant - rescued from the clearance section of B&Q - has finally produced it's first ripe fruit.

It is a little cherry tomato plant that has been growing in a hanging basket and although it has never looked in tip top condition is is covered in fruit.

These are the first ripe fruit we have been able to pick - and we ate them with our salad last night - delicious.

Well done, there's nothing as good as the taste of your first home grown tomato! Flighty xx

It's really satisfying 'growing your own'. I had a whole tablespoonful of peas from one tiny pea plant that a friend gave me - grown in a tub in my tiny yard.
