There is one programme that we all look forward to watching - and that is Monty Halls Great Hebridean Escape on BBC2 Wednesday nights at 9pm.
In this series Monty is on the Hebridean island of North Uist for 6 months working as a volunteer ranger.
Stunning scenery and a chap who always seems to have a smile on his face. The star of the show is a rather scruffy looking German Shepherd sort of dog Roobs (Reuben) - who is described as having ADHD!! Former Marine Monty is a marine biologist and a professional diver - and obviously very enthusiastic about his subject.
I would love to go and live up there in his little white cottage - with some turkeys and a couple of pigs for company.
