324/365+1 : Free Choice

This is my current knitting project - a bobbily scarf in my favourite colour - purple. Shame some little bugger saw fit to fiddle with it today while I was at work and take it off the pins. All attempts to rescue the stitches were in vain and I have unravelled the lot and started again. It will keep me quiet in front of the telly tonight.

270/365+1 : Muted

We are now almost at the end of September and I love the muted Autumnal colours.

I have been having a tidy up in my craft room and unearthing some goodies - I found a couple of gorgeous balls of wool (probably bought to knit another scarf or something) - aren't the colours gorgeous?

I also found some not too nice wool - remember that odd fluffy wool that everyone was making into scarfs a couple of years ago. I seem to have quite a few balls in a range of colours but I can't see me using it - wonder who I can palm it off on to!!

248/365+1 : Twisted

Here is the new scarf I knitted over the weekend - I didn't believe the lady in the shop when she said it would only take about half an hour to make. But it is only two  stitches and grows like wildfire and really did only take me just over 30 minutes to make.

I love the wool - it is sort of twisted and looks like lots of catkins when it is finished. And it is purple - what is there not to like??

And here I am wearing it just before I left for work this morning. Not quite cold enough for a scarf yet - although it was down to 1 degree when Andy went to work the other morning in Huntly and people were reported to have been scraping ice off their windscreens - eek.

Made a small "wild" impulse purchase this afternoon - but I couldn't resist this gorgeous green wool shouting at me from the wool shop window. It will keep me busy on the train down to my Mums at the end of the month (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!).  The new Scrap365 magazine I spotted in WHSmiths for the first time - I usually buy it online.
