Thankful Thoughts # 4

Today I am thankful for the safe arrival into the world of my brand new nephew at 0.19 this morning. He is a wee toot of a thing at just 6lb 3oz and as of yet hasn't got a name!!

Not the best of photographs but seeing as how my brother is also a keen photographer I am sure this little chap will have plenty of photographs taken of him.

You can find more about these posta and free downloadable masks and frames of the Ali Edwards blog.

Thankful Thoughts # 2

I haven't checked Ali Edwards blog for a little while and two more thankful thoughts have passed me by - I can see something of pattern emerging here!!

A couple of weeks ago Callum went on his first overnight school trip - no exotic location though as it was just down the road to Tomintoul!! The children were only allowed a maximum of £5 pocket money each and bless his little cotton socks he spent three quarters of it on his Mum. I am now the proud owner of this cute little Heiland Coo and it goes to show that sometimes our children can surprise us.

(I still don't find all this business of frames and clipping masks easy - I can't seem to retain the information - so have to refer back to the instructions to refresh my memory!)

Thankful Thoughts # 1

I saw this post over on Ali Edwards blog the other day and last night I had a play along. Ali gave us a couple of downloads to use - a clipping mask so we could add rounded corners to our photo and a frame to add.

After much faffing I reached the desired result but then my problem was that I had saved the final image to a destination unknown and after hunting unsuccessfully for a while I gave up and went to bed - in a grump. This morning I had another go from scratch and lo and behold I found my saved image.

So today I am thankful for a bit more snow!! I hear grumbling and moaning from all quarters about the reappearance of the white stuff - but to be fair it is only March and we do live way up North - so not entirely unusual. Bring it on I say.

I think this is going to be an occasional series by Ali with different downloads each time.
