Snow is Falling by Sarah Bennett

Snow is Falling

When Sadie Bingham’s life takes an unexpected turn, her children treat her to a well-earned break at Juniper Meadows, the gorgeous Cotswolds estate owned by the Travers family.

The festive season is in full swing, and Sadie throws herself into the packed Twelve Days of Christmas programme, relishing the opportunity to make new friends and new memories.

Single father Dylan Travers hasn’t been to his childhood home of Juniper Meadows for decades. Estranged from his cantankerous father Monty, he has made a happy life for himself in the States. But now with teenage children keen to know more about their roots, Dylan has brought them back to the Cotswolds to meet his family.

As Sadie and Dylan both navigate a Christmas very different from the ones they had expected it's soon clear that, geography apart, they have a great deal in common. And as Dylan confronts his past and Sadie contemplates her future, perhaps the miracle of this Christmas will be the happily-ever-after they both deserve.

Let Sarah Bennett whisk you away to a snowy Cotswolds for the perfect winter romance. A Sarah Bennett book is guaranteed to brighten any day, perfect for all fans of Cathy Bramley, Katie Fforde and Phillipa Ashley.

What did I think?

This is the 4th book in the Juniper Meadows series. I'm really not sure if I have read them all or not. But not to worry as this book works just as well as a standalone title.

My 3rd festive read this year and it is another cracker of a book. And it is set in the Cotswolds which I know quite well - the perfect backdrop for this festive read.

Loved the characters of Sadie and Dylan. Really felt for Sadie throughout this book - her life has been turned upside down and inside out but she has to look to the future for the sake of her children - and to create new memories.

I loved the connection between the two of them and seeing their relationship develop.

A truly heartwarming story.

Come Rain or Shine by Sarah Bennett

Come Rain or Shine

There are worse fates than growing up knowing that you will one day inherit a vast and magnificent Cotswolds country estate, but for Rhys Travers it has always felt like a huge responsibility.

Juniper Meadows is home to much of his extended family, not to mention the many local businesses that operate on the estate, so there’s no time to sit back and enjoy the view. Juniper Meadows is a full-time job, and that doesn’t leave much time for romance…

Tasha Blake’s career leaves no time for romance either – much to her mother’s chagrin. Tasha’s sister Danni has kindly provided two grandchildren, but Victoria Blake is keen for more! When her job takes her to Juniper Meadows for an extended project, the slower pace of life, the beauty of the countryside and the warmth of the Travers family, soon has Tasha in its thrall, and the future Lord of the Manor Rhys Travers is rather easy on the eye too.

As the busyness of life on the estate sweeps Tasha and Rhys along, they are both able to ignore the secrets and silences that are growing between them. But when the future of Juniper Meadows hangs in the balance, loyalties and love are tested to breaking point. When the chips are down, can Rhys and Tasha see a future together, come rain or shine…

Sarah Bennett is back with her signature blend of warmth and joy, plot and pace. A Sarah Bennett book is a ray of sunshine and a huge hug, guaranteed to brighten any day, perfect for all fans of Cathy Bramley, Katie Fforde and Phillipa Ashley.

What did I think?

This is the third book in the Juniper Meadows series - the first two books being  Where We Belong and In From The Cold.

One again set in the beautiful Cotswolds - a place I love as my Dad lives there. And so lovely to return again to Juniper Meadows - I feel like I know the place so well now.

There are some well kent faces (as they say up here in Scotland) but also some brand new ones. Will one of the new faces be a possible love interest for the oh so busy Rhys?? Or will secrets be revealed?? You will need to read the book to find out.

A delightful read - the story gave me all the feels. I hope we don't have to wait too long for another book in the series.

In From the Cold by Sarah Bennett

Amelia Riley and Ben Lawson have something in common – fathers who have kept secrets.

On the day of his father’s funeral, Ben’s life changes forever when a woman he’s never met shows up claiming to be his sister. As he investigates the past, Ben is shaken to discover that much of his life has been built on a carefully constructed foundation of his father’s lies. Needing answers, he agrees to visit Juniper Meadows, the ancestral estate owned and run by his long-lost relatives, the Travers family.

Arriving in the pretty Cotswold countryside, the first person Ben meets is Amelia Riley. They are immediately drawn to one another, but Amelia has her own complicated ties to the Travers family. Her only goal is to set the past to rights so she can move on with a clean conscience.

As Ben starts to see the events of his childhood more clearly, he allows the warmth and fun he finds at Juniper Meadows to draw him in from the cold. But just as he’s contemplating setting down roots, Amelia is making plans to leave…

Bestseller Sarah Bennett is back with an irresistible, feel-good, page-turning escape, perfect for fans of Cathy Bramley, Katie Fforde and Phillipa Ashley.

What did I think?

I love Sarah Bennett's books and make it a festive one and it's even more of a treat.

This is the second book in the Juniper Meadows series. Where We Belong was the first book which was a lovely read. I think in this case it would probably be better if you read the books in order - the family dynamics might make more sense.

In From the Cold is a beautiful book about family, about love and also about betrayal and healing. Loved the setting in the Cotswolds - a place I know quite well and love.

A story of secrets being told and the ripples those secrets make throughout the whole family. I won't spoil the plot twists but the writing is wonderful and the story captivated me.

This is the perfect book to curl up with on a Sunday afternoon when it is cold outside and you have a warm drink and a fire in front of you.

Looking forward to book number 3 already.

Where We Belong by Sarah Bennett

On paper, Hope Travers has an idyllic life.

Living in a bustling farmhouse with her mum, aunt and uncles, cousin and too many dogs to count, surrounded by the breath-taking Cotswolds countryside, she knows she is privileged and protected.

But all families have secrets, and the Travers family are no exception. Their farmhouse sits in the grounds of the Juniper Meadows estate, passed down through the generations and now being made to pay its own way with a myriad of businesses and projects. When a construction crew uncover what appear to be historical ruins, the history of the Travers family is put under ever closer scrutiny as a dig gets underway.

Hope may have found a blossoming romance with local archaeologist Cameron Ferguson who is running the dig, but when things start to go wrong around the estate and family secrets begin to be revealed, Hope wonders if she’s made a big mistake in digging up the past.

What did I think?

I can still remember the first Sarah Bennett book I read. Thoroughly enjoyed it and couldn't wait to read more of her books. I have been eagerly awaiting her new release.

I believe (and hope) that this book is the start of another new series.  It is a story of friendships, family, love and secrets. Sounds intriguing doesn't it?

Sarah has created a wonderful cast of characters and I loved the sense of community that centres around Juniper Meadows.

Really enjoyed this story - heart warming with the odd surprise or two along the way. How long do have to wait for the next book??

What did I think?

This is the 4th book in the Mermaids Point series and it was a delight to be back in the delightful location by the sea. Sadly, it is the last book in the series too - a shame but I cannot wait to see what Sarah writes next.

Whilst I was sad whilst reading, I was delighted in the way the story was all wrapped up - I do like neat and tidy endings. I have loved Nicks character throughout all the books and even though he was so good at helping others in their times of need I was hoping he would get his own happy ending.

All combined with a big chunk of festive cheer. What is there not to like?

This book does work well as a standalone title but to get the full benefit then I would really urge you to start at the beginning of the series. You won't be disappointed.

Love Blooms at Mermaids Point by Sarah Bennett

Bestselling author Alex Nelson is slowly coming apart at the seams after a failed marriage and an abrupt change in career leave him at a crossroads in life. When an unexpected opportunity arises to escape to the idyllic village of Mermaids Point, he’s hot on the heels of his brother, Tom, who has recently moved there. Buying a rundown bookshop might be just his latest harebrained scheme, but Alex has never been one to do things by halves.

After spending her early years caring for her mother, Ivy Fisher is finally ready to start living her own life. But when the impossibly charming, impossibly good-looking Alex Nelson swoops in and snatches her dream out from under her nose, it really is the last straw. Forced by circumstances to spend more time with him, Ivy finally gets a peak of the real man beneath the confident exterior, and she likes what she sees.

But just when things are starting to come together for them, Ivy is reminded why men can never be trusted. Is Alex who he says he is, or is he using Mermaids Point as nothing more than research fodder for his next bestseller?

What did I think?

I can still remember the first Sarah Bennett book that I read - Spring At Lavender Bay - and that got me hooked.

Love Blooms is the third book in the Mermaids Point series and I was so looking forward to a return visit. It is like revisiting old friends - the characters all have a place in my heart and I love the tight knit community.

I don't want to spoil any of the story for you - but once you start reading you won't want to stop. Sarah has such an easy going writing style it is oh so easy to forget the time and immerse yourself in the story.

I'm hoping there will be another book in the series.

Christmas Surprises at Mermaid Point by Sarah Bennett

Christmas is a time for love, laughter, families and friends, and in Mermaids Point, everyone is getting ready for the festive season.

For Nerissa and Tom, this will be their first Christmas as a couple, but making sure they have time for each other, whilst blending their families, will take some careful planning. What festive traditions will they make their own?

Laurie and Jake are flat out running Laurie’s seafront café, packaging up orders of mince pies, sausage rolls and other delectable Christmas goodies, as well as finding time for Jake’s journalism.  But when Jake’s mum offers them an unexpected gift, their plans are turned upside down.

Alex can’t help but be charmed by beautiful and talented Ivy, but he’s still recovering from his ex-wife’s betrayal and has a secret life he’s not ready to share with anyone yet. But as the Christmas spirit starts weaving its magic, Alex may find himself ready for love sooner than he imagines.

For Andrew, nothing is more important than family. As friends and family gather beneath his roof it's a time for reflection about what the future might hold.

As far as Nick is concerned, pop sensation Aurora Storm is the ‘one that got away’. After they shared a brief holiday fling, he has been thinking about her ever since. Is Christmas the perfect time to finally reach out to her, or is love at first sight just in fairy-tales?

What did I think?

I love Sarah's books since reading the Lavender Bay series and this one was no different.

This is a festive bite sized novella in the Mermaids Point series and it was great to catch up with everyone. It is little snippets of the lives of the main characters of the series.

It is full of Christmas spirit and a treat for those people who have been reading the series. I'm not sure it would work as a standalone title though. I would recommend reading Summer Kisses and Autumn Dreams first. So looking forward to the next book in the series.

Autumn Dreasm at Mermaid's Point by Sarah Bennett

When her dreams of young love were cruelly shattered, Nerissa Morgan found it hard to move on. Now, at forty-three, everyone around her is enjoying life while she’s just going through the motions. With her boss retiring and rumours of a new doctor coming in to take over the practice she manages, change is coming, whether she’s ready for it or not.

Following the death of his beloved wife, Tom Nelson buried himself in work at his busy inner-London GP practice. When his teenage children find themselves in trouble at school, he realises he’s completely lost touch with them. Desperate to reconnect before it’s too late, he whisks his family away to the pretty seaside village of Mermaids Point determined to make a fresh start.

But all is not as idyllic as it seems. With his predecessor reluctant to let go of the reins and the children as distant as ever, the last thing Tom needs is an undeniable attraction to the woman he unexpectedly finds himself sharing a roof with…

Warm, escapist, feel-good and altogether brilliant story-telling from bestselling author Sarah Bennett. Perfect for all fans of Trisha Ashley and Milly Johnson.

What did I think?

Sarahs books are always a joy to read and this one was no exception. Although this is the second book in the Mermaid's Point series it works just as well as a standalone title.

I really enjoyed this book - it has everything I love contained between the pages - a beautiful seaside location, a cast of interesting characters and a lovely sweet romance. what more can you ask for?

I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series (fingers crossed there is one) as I want to meet the characters again and see where life takes them.
