Good morning - things still a bit hectic here - getting ready for back to school tomorrow for one - and starting uni in 3 weeks for the other!!
I am reading The Turning Point by Freya North. I love this author and have heard lots of great things about this book - one is to have a tissue or 2 handy near the end.
Everyone deserves a new beginning. But sometimes fate isn’t on your side…
Over one short weekend, when Canadian musician Scott Emerson and British children's author Frankie Shaw meet by chance, a profound connection is made. Their homes are thousands of miles apart: Frankie and her children live by the coast of North Norfolk while Scott’s roots lie deep in the mountains of British Columbia. Against all advice, they decide to see where this might go.
Over oceans and time zones, they make sacrifices and take risks, discovering along the way new truths about love and family. For the first time in a long while, it seems life could be very good. But fate has a tragic twist in store, one that could destroy all that was hoped for.
Later on I will be starting A Time For Living by Ruth Saberton. This is the second in the Polwenna Bay series. I was lucky enough to be sent a digital copy of the book by the author.
Is there ever a right time for love?
Feisty horsewoman, Morwenna Tremaine, has always known what she wants from life and success as a three day event rider is all she’s ever dreamed of. Mo has neither the time nor the inclination for love. Even if she did it wouldn’t be with a man who stands for everything she despises…
Beneath a tough and determined exterior, businessman Ashley Carstairs harbours a dark secret that threatens to destroy everything he holds dear. Although aware that he is heading for trouble, he finds himself increasingly drawn to the one woman he knows he should stay away from – for both their sakes.
As the autumn nights draw in and the trickling sands of time gather speed, emotions run higher than the tides and Mo finds herself unable to step away. What is Ashley hiding? Is there more to him that meets the eye? And will his secret destroy everything she now holds dear?
So the last thing I needed this morning was this!
