Birthday Boy

Today Callum turned 15 - where have the years gone - my "baby" can't be that old surely?

Of course as every mother should you have to post old photos on Facebook to embarass him - but as I said they could have been a lot lot worse!!

It was a quite birthday with Sam away at uni and Andy away in the Far East with work.

But we went our for a full Sunday lunch.

Followed by a Stew n Drews ice cream down at the beach - and it had to be birthday cake flavoured ice cream (it really did taste of cake, buttercream icing and jam!)

Birthday Boy

My boy is 16 today - and for once he happily posed for the obligatory birthday photo. It might have been the chocolate moustache props that helped and I love these photos (the chocolate moustaches lasted about 5 seconds after I put the camera down!!) Just goes to show that even a moody, unpredictable, image conscious teenager can have a laugh with his Mum.

Note to self - I really must use my 50mm lens more - I love the results.

This was the photo I put on Facebook this morning in honour of his birthday - how cute were my boys when they were small??

Birthday Boy

Can't believe that Sam was 14 yesterday - those years seem to have flown by.

Rather unwillingly he let me take some photos of him - I have a tradition whereby the boys have to have a birthday photo taken to mark the day. But yesterday I was granted one solitary photo - which when it was taken he promptly walked back inside!! With some "encouragement" he let me take a few more.

I can't get over how grown up he looks in these photos - not my little boy anymore.

We also had to have some obligatory blowing the candles out photos too - I love my new 50mm lens and the lovely blurry backgrounds it produces.
