What did I think?

I do love books by this author. They are so enjoyable and so easy to read. A delight. I think the fact that they are all set over a 24 hour period makes them so absorbing.

Set on New Years Eve with a fantastic cast of characters - some of whom we have met in earlier titles.

The fast moving story covers friendships, family, love - this book has something for everyone.

Another riveting read.

What did I think?

As always with Shari's books this cover is just gorgeous. Very enticing.

I'm thinking this is another book in the 'one' series - you can find the list of her books here if you need a refresh. But this books works well as a standalone title if you haven't read any of the others.

One Long Weekend is perfect weekend reading material in my opinion. It follows Sophie, Val and Alice who are brought together through a series of events. Shari writes the most wonderful characters - they are all fascinating, heart warming and delightful. Then add in Shari's own story about what inspired her with this story and it just leaps off the page.

I have read a few of Shari's books and one thing I really like is the short timescales many of her books are set over. Makes you want to keep reading till the end.

Highly recommended.

What did I think?

This book follows on from One Day With You. In my opinion you should really read these books in order as they follow on from each other.

One Year After You takes place over a period of 24 hours and Shari once again has written a fabulous cast of characters - ones that I became invested in as I read.

The story is broken down into two hourly segments and each segment is from one of the four main characters point of view. This formula makes the story fairly romp along. I devoured this book in a couple of sittings. A proper page turner.

A heart warming story revolving around the importance of love, of friendships and of family and friends.

What did I think?

Is it too early to start reading festive titles?? It's never too early and I think this is my first festive read of the season.

I always enjoy Shari's books - probably because she writes about subjects and story lines that I can relate too.

This story follows three generations of women all of whose lives change one Christmas Eve. The fact that the whole book is set just on one day in each decade was inspired - in two hour segments. As I said it features 3 generations of one family - each of the stores is set in a different decade.

The story made me feel all warm and fuzzy but it isn't overly Christmassy.  A perfect feel good read. I know I read this in the middle of our (so called) Summer but it would be great to read in the lead up to the festive season.

Written with feeling and humour. If you only read one festive book this year - please make it this one.

One Moment in Time by Shari Low

Sometimes the best surprises reveal the most shocking secrets.

After three decades of marriage, Brenda Jones has decided to leave her husband, just as soon as they both return from a mystery trip with their daughter Zara. But she has no idea that Zara is flying them to Las Vegas to renew their vows.

Zara Jones has recreated almost every detail of her parent’s original wedding - now her only challenge is tracking down the two friends who were pictured with her mum and dad back in 1993.

Aiden Gregg is dealing with his own relationship woes when he receives an unexpected message from a complete stranger. WIth the help of Facebook, Zara has tracked him down and is asking if his parents are the other couple in the old photo? And if so, could he bring them to Vegas for a surprise reunion?

What Zara and Aiden don’t know is that thirty years ago, One Moment In Time changed everything.

Will rewinding the clock right the wrongs of the past?

Or are they all counting down to a rendezvous with disaster?

What did I think?

Firstly - what a beautiful cover. It makes me want to pick it straight up and start reading.

Once I read the blurb I really had no idea how this story was going to pan out. Zara has planned a trip to Vegas for her Mum and Dad with the help of her sister Millie- it is their 30th wedding anniversary. Unbeknownst to them she is to surprise them with a ceremony to renew their vows. What she doesn't know is that her Mum is planning to leave her Dad straight after the trip. Now if that doesn't get your attention then I don't know what will!!

Loved the varied characters in this story - one by one they are added to make up the whole story. There were some proper laugh out loud moments whilst I was reading. It was a story of secrets and forgiveness with a dash of romance thrown in. heartfelt but amusing is how I would describe this book.

One Day With You by Shari Low

One day, five lives, but whose hearts will be broken by nightfall?

It started like any other day in the picturesque village of Weirbridge.

Tress Walker waved her perfect husband Max off to work, with no idea that she was about to go into labour with their first child. And completely unaware that when she tried to track Max down, he wouldn’t be where he was supposed to be.

At the same time, Max’s best friend Noah Clark said goodbye to his wife, Anya, blissfully oblivious that he would soon discover the woman he adored had been lying to him for years.

And living alongside the two couples, their recently widowed friend, Nancy Jenkins, is getting ready to meet Eddie, her first true love at a school reunion. Will Nancy have the chance to rekindle an old flame, or will she choose to stay by Tress’s side when she needs her most?

One Day with You - two fateful goodbyes, two unexpected hellos, and 24 hours that change everything.

What did I think?

Read the blurb for this book and it sounded right up my street. I have read several of Shari's books previously and enjoyed them. Couldn't wait to get started.

Two couple start their day not knowing how the hours are going to unfold and how their lives are going to be changed. This story fairly raced along - felt like I was on a bit of a rollercoaster with this one but in a good way.

Loved the characters - the author has made them really relatable. And the short time scale really worked for me - didn't want to stop turning the pages. Each chapter was written from a different characters point of view which I also enjoyed.

Overall this book grabbed my attention and didn't let go. It was both tense an emotional. A cautionary tale of infidelity but it does end on a hopeful note.

Would really recommend this title.

Tadgh Donovan is about to jet off to his destination wedding when he sees a shocking text. Has his bride-to-be written her wedding vows… or already broken them?

Hayley Ford is the wife of a top fertility specialist yet her battle to get pregnant has almost broken her marriage. Can a trip to the sun heal their relationship or should she brace for a crash landing?

Dev Robbins is crossing oceans to track down the woman he fell in love with at first sight. Will it be a one way trip to happy ever after or a return journey to singledom?

Purchase Link - https://amzn.to/3kKtjX2

What did I think?

Who could resist this beautiful cover?

I was imagining this story would be set on St Lucia but the bulk of the story happens way before we get there - miles up in the sky in a jumbo jet.

A fab cast of characters - hunky musicians, downtrodden wives, the love struck and a vile husband. And I loved how the story developed. Thought I could see what was going to happen - but there were were a few twists along the way.

This book was a tonic and a perfect Summer read.
