Rocking Your World Friday 23rd August
Rocking Your World Friday is the moment to step back and take stock of your week, to work out the positives, the things that have made life more bearable and to celebrate these facts. Pop a post together, come back and link each Friday and let's share our positives around. It's a great therapy and stops life slipping through our fingers or spending too much time dwelling on the negatives. Not sure if it's for you - give it a go - you'll never know until you try!
This week has flown by.
I am mostly grateful for last week which I spent with my Dad. He drove up from the Cotswolds to Fort William and we stayed in a wonderful log cabin overlooking the Caledonian Canal with views out over Ben Nevis.
I only see my Dad once a year and I am grateful that my boys get to spend time with him.
I am grateful that we spent a few days in breathtakingly beautiful part of Scotland. We are going back (minus the children!) to do some proper walking. This is the view from the top of Aonach Mor.
But mostly I am grateful of the start of the new school academic year. That means that my house will look exactly how I left it when I return from work as it was when I left - before 2 teenagers have made a mess everywhere as they have been doing the holidays. This photo wasn't taken on the first day of term - I did take photos but forgot to put the memory card in the camera first - so I am grateful that Cal gave me another go.
And finally I am grateful that the Great British bake off has returned to our screens - only 7 weeks till I see Mary and Paul.
Please pop over to Virginias blog and see what everyone else has been up to this wee.

Rocking Your World Friday 2nd August
Rocking Your World Friday is the moment to step back and take stock of your week, to work out the positives, the things that have made life more bearable and to celebrate these facts. Pop a post together, come back and link each Friday and let's share our positives around. I have just found this on Donna's blog - and although I always post on a Friday with my Skywatch photos I thought I would play along too - not sure for how long though. You can find out more about Rocking Your World on Virginia's blog.
From what I can gather on a Friday we look back over the week abd see what was good (I have seen another blog where you post on a Monday about what forthcoming events you have to look forward to.)
So I am chuffed that my car (aka the Mighty MiTo otherwise known as SuperMario Cart) is back in tip top condition after a trip to the garage in Inverness. Problem was a broken sparkplug so my fuel economy is back up to 55mpg and the stop start finally works - although I am finding it a bit irritating!!
Another trip with Callum to the orthodontist and the good news is hopefully the "train tracks can come off in 12 weeks - I have a happy boy as he has only had them on for 15 months.
On Wednesday we had a visit from an old friend who was up at RAF Lossiemouth working. It has been almost 13 years since we last saw Adam - but it was like him and Andy had never been apart and he hasn't changed at all. Mustn't leave it so long next time.
Andy has booked tickets to go to the Good Food Show in October for my birthday and I am super excited about seeing Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry.
All new school uniform has been purchased - and there are only just over 2 weeks of the holidays left to go!!
I maintained at Slimming World this week - now that might not sound too good but after what I ate over the weekend I was well chuffed. Note to self: do not buy any more chocolate brownies from Asda!
