What did I think?

I make no secret of the fact that I love Daniel's books. It's the action packed storylines, the short snappy chapters and the fact that I can devour his books in a single setting.

The Family Trip was no exception.

The storyline grabbed me from the opening chapter. Who do you believe? Who do you trust?

A little bit dark. A lot mysterious. Packed full of lies and deception. What a glorious read!!

Be warned - once you pick this book up you won't want to put it down till you have reached the final page.

Daniel Hurst was born in the northwest of England, a part of the world famous for its comedians, pasties and terrible weather.

What did I think.

I thoroughly enjoyed The Doctor's Wife and was really excited to read the follow up The Doctor's Widow - I couldn't imagine which direction the story was going to go in.

Fern is an unlikable character and normally this would put me off reading - but the way the last book finished - it left me wanting more.

I was really hoping she would get her come uppance.

I don't think I can write a full review of this book without giving some of the plot twists away. I really don't want to do that as you really need do need to read this rollercoaster of a book. If you haven't read the first book then I really think you need to read if before picking this one up.

Daniel is the king of short and snappy chapters. The sort of chapters were you keep promising yourself just one more chapter - then another - and another. He writes books you really don't want to put down.
